The Road Race for Education, presented by Principle Intelligence, is an annual event located in the heart of East Atlanta. This event, now in its 45th year, brings together the East Lake Community and East Atlanta Neighbors to celebrate and advocate for quality education. The road race was previously named The Mohammed Ali Road Race in honor of the legendary athlete Muhammad Ali. This race symbolizes courage, determination, and community spirit.

🎽 Registration Details

In-person 5K registration Includes:

• Shirt: Road Race for Education participant shirt (while supplies last)
• Medal: Participant Medal
• Timing: Chipped-timed 5K road race - USTAF Certified Course
• Qualifier: Peachtree Qualifier

Virtual 5K registration Includes:

• Shirt: Road Race for Education participant shirt
• Packet Shipping: Not included in registration
• Results Reporting: Access to virtual results reporting

🗓️ Planning and Updates Timeline

• Transfer Policy: All registrations are transferable: however, they are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please only sign up if you are 100% sure you are prepared to participate in the Road Race for Education 2025 in the selected format.
• Packet Pickup: All participant packets must be picked up at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam on: TBD
• Transfer Deadline: The deadline to transfer your race to Virtual is midnight on August 23.
• Mailing Policy: Please note that In-Person participant packets will not be mailed out.

💰 Registration & Pricing Schedule

• September 2, 2024: Pre-Sale Registration Opens - 5k Run/Walk- $25, Senior Walk- $25, Student 5k Run- $20, Kids 1Mi Fun Run - $20 (+$10 Youth Shirt Optional)
• September 9, 2024: Regular Registration opens - 5k Run/Walk - $45, Senior Walk $45, Student Run $25, Kids Fun Run - $20 (+$10 Youth Shirt Optional)
• August 1, 2025: Race Shirt Deadline Register before this date to be guaranteed a race shirt
• August 2, 2025: Late Registration Pricing/ Virtual 5K Registration Closes

The Road Race for Education will positively impact the community in the following manner:

• Celebration: A lively celebration and festival promoting quality education.
• Inclusivity: Participants of all ages, from young children to seasoned adults, enthusiastically join in the festivities.
• Community Cohesion: The race promotes community cohesion and nurtures a deeper understanding and appreciation of our shared humanity.
• Support: Proceeds from the race directly support the mission of Mohammed Schools of Atlanta.

The Road Race for Education 2025 weekend will include a community-wide service project. Please check back for more details closer to the race. Participants will have an opportunity to contribute directly to Mohammed Schools of Atlanta via RunSignUp.
