Love is a Verb 5K

🏃‍♂️ What

• Event: The Love is a Verb Road Race is in its 2nd Annual race and was started as a fundraiser for the 8th Day Clean. 8th Day Clean was established in 2017 to assist young people, in 3rd World Countries, with education and a self-sustaining skill to promote financial stability.
• Mission: We seek to radically improve the pace and depth of growth in the spiritual and physical health of communities in the developing world by transforming the way that the Body of Christ engages in global missions.
• Purpose: 8th Day Clean exists to instill dignity, strength, and worth in women struggling in extreme poverty environments so that they can dream and laugh at times to come.

📅 Event Details

• Date: The 5K will be on Saturday, August 23rd at Riverstone Church Parking Lot (2005 Stilesboro Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30152) and begins at 8:00 am.

🏞️ Course

• Type: The course is an up and down loop course through Barrett Greene neighborhood adjacent to Riverstone Church.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Awards are offered for all on-site participants.
• Top Finishers: Awards will be given for top 3 finishers of each age category for Male & Female.
• Overall Winners: We will also award the top overall Male & Female winners of the race.
• Age Groups: The age categories are 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.

👕 T-Shirts

• Guarantee: T-shirts are guaranteed to all registrations received prior to 11:59 pm on Friday 8/15.

🚗 On-Site Parking

• Availability: There will be plenty of parking at Riverstone Church (2005 Stilesboro Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30152).

🌦️ Weather

• Policy: The race will happen rain or shine.
• Severe Weather: Only in cases of extreme weather will changes to the race schedule occur.
• Updates: Please check your email on race morning for real-time updates on the status of the race if there is severe weather.

📝 Registration

• Closing: Online registration closes at 11:59 pm on 8/22.
• Race Day: Sign up on race morning from 7:00-7:40 am at Riverstone Church (weather permitting).
• Fee: The fee is $40.00 for race day registration via QR code - charge only.

💵 Refunds

• Policy: No refunds or transfers from person-to-person or year-to-year are allowed.
• Conditions: Registration fees are not refundable in the event of the race cancellation due to “Acts of God” or things outside of the control of the Race Director.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Onsite at Riverstone Church (2005 Stilesboro Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30152) from 7:00-7:40 am race day morning (8/23/25).

⏱️ Timing

• Results: Live Results will be accessible via QR code found on your race bib when you cross the finish line.
• Timing Service: The race will be timed by Elite Race Timing.
• Provided: Each participant will receive a race bib with a timing chip attached to the bib.
• Posting: Results will be posted to Elite’s website immediately following the race at www.eliteracetiming.com.

💧 Water Stations

• Location: There will be one water station on the course.
• Encouragement: Runners are encouraged to bring water bottles with them.
• Post-Race: Additional water and post-race snacks will be available at the finish line.

🐶 Dogs/Strollers

• Policy: No Dogs allowed.
• Strollers: Strollers are allowed on the course and at the Start/Finish line.

🚑 First Aid

• Emergency: In case of an emergency, please immediately notify one of the on-site medical volunteers or a police officer.

🚻 Restrooms

• Availability: Restrooms are available at Riverstone Church.
