🎉 Event Overview
- Program: The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon is an endurance building running/walking program designed for children K5 through 5th grade.
- Distance: Kids will run a total of 26.2 miles over five months, with the final mile on race day.
- Training: Children must complete 25.2 miles in increments from September 2024 through February 2025 to qualify.
- Motto: "If you had fun, you won!"
📋 Participation Details
- Tracking: Mileage is based on adult supervision and the honor system, and students will run in PE class or with a parent.
- Finisher's Medal: Each child will receive a medal upon completing the final mile on race day.
- No Winners: There are no official winners: the event is timed for personal progress tracking.
💰 Registration Fees
- $25: Online registration only until December 26, 2024
- $30: Online registration only until January 31, 2025
- $35: Online registration only until February 10, 2025 (Late registration: shirt size not guaranteed)
- No Refunds: We do not offer refunds or transfers of registrations. Children must be 5 years old on race day.
