WEβD LIKE TO C C U at the 3rd Annual Light Up the Night 5K Run on Friday, October 25th at 7:30 p.m.
- Host Institutions: Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College
- Purpose: Highlight Interpersonal Violence Awareness in October
- Message: Movement is medicine: there is strength in numbers, and power in community!
- Goal: Show survivors they are not fighting their battle alone.
π° Proceeds and Impact
Race proceeds will benefit the CHANT-I-CARE Assistance Fund, a compensation fund designed to assist student survivors of violence.
- 2023 Success: Race proceeds brought in just over $9K
- Fund Goals: Expand the fund as campus communities continue to grow
- Appreciation: Your continued support is appreciated!
- Participant Benefits: All registered participants will receive a swag bag and race t-shirt.
π Awards Ceremony
Immediately following the race will be an awards ceremony as well as opportunities to support the cause with raffle baskets, so bring your cash to support this cause!
- Location: Post-race awards will be held at Brooks Stadium on Coastal Carolina University's campus
- Timing: Immediately following the last runner
- Open to All: The Light Up the Night 5K is open to participants of all ages and abilities.

Race Course Details
The race will begin on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.
- Starting Point: University Blvd near Brooks Stadium
- Route: Runners will travel toward the HGTC campus, complete a loop, and return to CCUβs campus
- Finish Line: Complete the finish on the teal turf of Brooks Stadium

Packet Pickup Schedule
- Thursday, October 24: 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at HGTC Parking Lot, 2050 US-501, Conway, SC 29526
- Friday, October 25: 6:00 p.m. - Packet Pick up at Brooks Stadium - 965 One Landon Loop, Conway, SC 29526
- Race Start: 7:30 p.m.

- Individual: $35 (Price Increase 09/25/24 to $40)
- CCU/HGTC Faculty/Staff: $30 (Price Increase 09/25/24 to $35)
- CCU/HGTC Student: $10 (Price Increase 09/25/24 to $20)
