Breaking Down the Stigma Addiction and Mental Awareness 5K Sponsored by NewVista Behavioral Health

🏃‍♂️Event Overview

Join us Saturday, August 31st, 2024, for the 1st Annual Overdose Awareness Day - Breaking Down the Stigma 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk as we honor lives lost to drug overdose. The CDC estimated 107,543 U.S. drug overdose deaths in 2023. While this is a 3% decline from 110,029 deaths in 2022, this is 295 deaths per day. We will run and walk to remember those lives, as well as raise awareness.

• Start/Finish: Black River Landing, 421 Black River Ln, Lorain, OH 44052

⏰Start Time

• Registration/Packet Pick Up: 8:00 am
• Race Start: 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk at 9:00 am
• Total Event Time: 8 am - 12 pm

• 5K Run/Walk: Chip Timed
• 1 Mile Walk: Untimed

📝General Registration

• Registration Fee: $30.00 until Midnight Friday, August 30, 2024
• Kids 12 and Under: $15.00
• Mailed Entries: Must be received by Wednesday, July 24, 2024

Top finishers will get a medal: Top 5 overall Male & Female / Top 5 Male & Female Masters Overall (60+): all participants will get a ribbon.
