🤝 Community Impact
This event brings together community supporters, families, and volunteers to make a positive impact on local youth. Together, we raise awareness and support for our mission of providing backpacks and academic scholarships.
Founded in honor of Kristian Monet Richardson, who tragically passed on May 16, 2021, MRCF is dedicated to continuing her legacy of philanthropy and making a difference in the lives of families, one youth at a time.
👼 Dress Code
Optional: Wear angel wings for our “RUNNING WITH THE ANGELS” inspiration.
🕘 Schedule
- Early Check-in: Starts at 8 AM
- Race Start: Begins at 9 AM
- Raffle Prizes: Tickets for $20 each (cash or credit only)
- Must be present: You must be present to win!
📝 Registration
- Online Registration: Ends April 25 at midnight
- Onsite Registration: Opens at 8 AM ($35 for adults, $20 for students)
- Packet Pickup: April 25 from 11 AM to 6 PM at Fleet Feet Carrboro
- T-shirt Info: Register by March 15 for a complimentary t-shirt: after that, t-shirts will be available for $15
🏃 Race Features
This year, we’re excited to offer chip timing for all participants. Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to support our backpack and academic scholarship programs through awareness and advocacy.
Enjoy pre- and post-race workouts and stretches provided by Orange Theory Fitness. The Chapel Hill Police Department will be on-site to ensure safety along our USATF-certified 5K course.
🎉 Silent Auction
We are hosting a silent auction again this year with amazing items donated from hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, retail, etc., from vendors in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, Durham, Raleigh, and surrounding areas. Please bring cash and or credit cards. You DO NOT have to be present at the 5K event to win silent auction items.
