Help us get to 500 participants (in-person or virtual 5K and 8K) and we will give ONE MALE and ONE FEMALE participant a FREE YEAR of Fit & Able-owned races! That’s a FREE entry of your choice to each Fit & Able race - a nearly $1,000 VALUE!
* Must be registered in the in-person or virtual 5K or 8K to be eligible to win. Random drawing after the in-person race.

Back by popular demand for the 12th year, it won't be long before it’s time to greet the New Year again with a Fun Mile with friends and a big mug of hot chocolate! As always everyone who finishes the race gets a great mug and medal, all the hot chocolate they can drink, and all dog entries go to support the SPCA of Wake County. Mutts & Marshmallows is also the first race of Fit & Able's annual Free-for-All Race Series.

🐕 Doggie Dash Participation

Fit & Able loves family fitness and whose four-legged furry friend isn’t part of the family? Dog owners are welcome to run with their pups in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 8K!

• Fee: For only $10 per pup it will be happy trails for both runners and their dogs.
• Benefit: The full $10 dog fee goes to support the Wake County SPCA!
• Mass Start Times: All races will have a mass start at 9:00 AM for Doggie Dash 5K / Doggie Dash 8K, 9:45 AM for Fun Mile, and 10:00 AM for regular 5K / 8K.
• Course Closure: The course closes for all races at 11:30 AM (In-person Race Day Schedule).

📅 Important Race Information

NEW RRCA INSURANCE GUIDELINES: Only one dog per registered runner and dogs must remain on leashes at all times. You MUST register your dog in order for them to run with you. Dogs are ONLY allowed in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 8K. Kids 12 & Younger are NOT allowed in the Doggie Dash 5K or Doggie Dash 8K.

* The Doggie Dash Dog Registration is an add-on you can select WHILE registering for the in-person Doggie Dash 5K or Doggie Dash 8K or any virtual race. *
