Heroes For Nick 5K, Family Walk & Kids' Hero Dash

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Welcome: Welcome to our 16th annual Heroes for Nick 5K, Family Walk, & Kids' Hero Dash. The Kids' Hero Dash, for ages 2-10, will complete 1 lap on the track.
• Family Walk: The family walk is open to all ages and will include a 1 mile loop on a paved surface.
• 5K Race: The 5K race will have prizes for the top 2 finishers in each age group and medals will be awarded to the top overall male and female winners.
• Fun Activities: Enjoy our featured Hot Chocolate Bar, participate in our fall games/crafts, and enter to win one of our amazing raffle baskets.

🎽 Fundraising and Teams

• Fundraiser Options: When you register for the event, please consider utilizing the shareable link to start an individual fundraiser or gather friends/family to raise money as a team.
• Incentives: Earn NixCancer apparel and/or an Amazon gift card when you meet specific fundraising goals.
• Team Prize: The top overall team will win their choice of a pizza party or an ice cream sundae party.

🏥 Purpose of the Event

• Fundraising Goal: Our event will raise funds for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
• Dream Project: We are working towards building individual housing units in Philadelphia, near CHOP.
• Partnership: NixCancer Foundation has partnered with Bryn Mawr Racing Company to honor Nicholas Mincarelli while supporting families fighting cancer.

📍 Location and Schedule

• Location: Plymouth Whitemarsh High School - Walk in registration and shirt/bib pick up begins at 9am.
• Shirt/Bib Pick-up: Race Day pick up at PWHS OR virtual participants can choose the shipping option at checkout.
• Awards: Medals for overall Male/Female finisher / Age Groups: top 2 (male/female) in each age group (under 12, 12-18, over 18).
• Important Dates: Shirts NOT guaranteed after September 15th! Prices will increase by $5 on October 16th.

🕒 Race Details

• Kid's Hero Dash: $15 - Ages 2-10 yrs. (400 meters/1 lap) 10:00am start time.
• 5K: $30 - 10:30 am start time.
• Family Walk: $20 - 10:45 am start time.
• Amenities: Course will be around PW High School with a stadium finish, Heroes for Nick shirt (participants registered by 9/15), refreshments, water stations, prizes, face painting, lawn games, additional fundraising incentives.
