Cardio for Cosmo Memorial 5K/1Mile

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Put on your running shoes and join the Burlington Township Police FOP Lodge #84 in a 5k run, the third annual ‘Cardio for Cosmo’ Memorial 5k run honoring fallen Detective Steven T. Cosmo #3099. Detective Cosmo impacted the lives of so many people, and it is our job to now honor and remember him for the loving, caring and dedicated man that he was.

🎗️ Purpose of the Event

This event is a memorial 5k run with the intention of memorializing Detective Cosmo and giving back to programs that help provide suicide prevention and assistance to our country’s law enforcement and military personnel as well as giving students with an interest in law enforcement, military or mental health professions scholarships to make those dreams happen.

🤝 Beneficiaries

• Reps for Responders: A nonprofit organization aiming to improve the physical and emotional survivability skills of first responders.
• The Headstrong Project: Provides confidential, barrier-free, and stigma-free PTSD treatment to veterans, service members and family members connected to their care.
• Scholarships: Given each year to students from Burlington Township High School interested in Law Enforcement, Mental Health field, or Military.
• Additional Contributions: Can be made at the "Donate" tab.

🏅 Race Details

• Course: A hilly and fast 5K run and flat 1 mile walk course, beginning and ending at the Burlington Township Municipal Building, 851 Old York Rd.
• Timing: The 5k run event includes Run Chip timing, HD finish line video, and text message results within seconds of the conclusion of the run. The 1-mile walk is an untimed event.
• T-Shirts: Commemorative T-Shirts will be given out to all participants registered for the event by April 7, 2025.
• Awards: Given to the top three female & male overall and the top three in age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

📅 Check-In Information

Check-in and bib pick up will run from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. the day of the race. Additional bib pick up dates are as follows:

• May 14, 2025: Between 5 and 7 pm.
• May 16, 2025: Between 5 and 7 pm.
• Location: Bib/shirt pick up will be done in the Rotunda at the Municipal Building located at 851 Old York Rd.
• Waivers: Waivers will have to be signed by all participants. Please be advised that check-in and bib pick up times are subject to change. Updates will be provided with any changes.
