🏃♂️ Race Overview
It's our 16th annual Southwest Center City (SWCC) 5K and we are excited to offer an in-person race on Saturday, October 26 and a virtual 5k option.
🌳 Race History
- Established: Since 2009 participants have run through the beautiful residential streets of the Southwest Center City.
- Purpose: Helping to raise money to improve the neighborhood.
- Beneficiaries: Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the Friends of Chester Arthur (FoCA) and Stanton Community Partners (SCP).
- Status: Both organizations are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that benefit the neighborhood elementary schools.
🏅 Event Details
- In-Person & Virtual: The SWCC 5K is a run/walk that can be completed in person on October 26th or virtually.
- Distance: Participants can complete the race distance wherever they want during the suggested race dates in October.
- Additional Events: We will continue to offer the Monster Mile, a 1.0 mile fun run.
- Kids' Race: For our youngest athletes, the Spooky Sprint, a ~100 yard dash for kids under 6.
