METAvivor 5k

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

• Event: The METAvivor 5k will benefit the METAvivor Charity which supports metastatic breast cancer research, support, and awareness.
• Proceeds: 100% of proceeds after race expenses will be donated to METAvivor.
• Focus: METAvivor focuses on research efforts to render Stage IV breast cancer as a survivable condition.
• Need: Research for Stage IV, the stage in which breast cancer kills, is hugely underfunded.

🕙 Race Details

• Start Time: The in person run will start at 10am.
• Timing: Runners will be chip timed from the moment they start to the moment they finish the race!

📅 Race Date and Registration Information

• Pickup: Bib Pickup will begin at 9:15am on 1/25/2025. Race starts at 10am.
• Pricing: Registration for the in person run is $20 through 1/18/2025, and $25 from 1/19/2025 through race day on 1/25/2025.
• Virtual Run: The cost for the virtual run is $20.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Top 1st place overall Male and Female. Awards will be based on In Person Run chip times.
• Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony this year around 10:45am.
• Medals: Medals will be given out for the top 3 male and female in the following age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

• Course: Flattest possible course on the scenic paved main multi-use trail at Ridley Creek State Park.
• Details: Race will begin at Picnic Area 17 and follow an out and back.
• Refreshments: Bottled water, bananas, apples, oranges, Chick-fil-A Lima coffee, pretzels, granola bars and more will be available at the end of the race.
