Holo Kahakai 5K, 10K or 1/2 Marathon Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: June 14, 2025
• Time: Starting at 7:00 am
• Location: Kahakai Park, Pahoa, HI
• Distances: 5k, 10k, and ½ marathon

🌳 Course Details

• Start Point: Oceanfront Kahakai Park
• Running Experience: Dappled sunlight under old growth mango and lauhala trees
• Route: Scenic Old Govt Beach Rd
• ½ Marathon: Runs to HWY 132 then back along the same route

🕖 Event Schedule

• Start Time: 7:00 AM sharp
• End Time: 10:00 AM
• Day of Race Sign Up: Between 6:30 AM and 6:50 AM
• Registration: Free for BIRR members, $10 donation for non-members

🗺️ Directions

• From HWY 130: Take Kahakai Blvd just past the Pahoa Roundabout
• End Point: Follow to the very end where you will run into the park

🚰 Hydration and Snacks

• Aid Stations: Provided along the route
• Hydration: Bring your own in case it is hot
• Snacks: Available at the end of the race
• BIRR Members: $10 donation dropped from registration
