BIRR Hilo Bay 5k and 10k

🏃‍♂️ Event Details

• Date: Saturday, September 6th, 2025
• Start Time: 7:30 am
• Location: Reeds Bay on Banyan Drive, Hilo, HI
• Finish Line: Back at the same place

🏞️ Race Course

• Route: All runners/walkers will head North on Banyan Drive, turn towards Coconut Island and run the oceanside of Lili'uokalani Park, through Bayfront Park towards the "yellow gate", turn around and come back the same way.
• 5K Finish: Those running the 5K will end where we started.
• 10K Course: Those running the 10K will continue onto Kalanianaole Street to the “turn around” sign and head back to the finish line.

Awards & Amenities

• Tee-shirts: All finishers will receive tee-shirts and medals.
• Awards: Awards for overall finishers and age group finishers will be presented.
• Support: Aid stations and snacks will be provided.

📝 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Closes on September 5th at 3 pm.
• Discount: Big Island Road Runners (BIRR) members receive a $5.00 discount at registration.
• Student Discount: Pricing available for students.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Pickup Date: Packet pickup and late registration will be at Reeds Bay on September 5th, 2025, between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
• Race Day Registration: There will be registration and packet pick-up on race day up until 7:00 am.
