👟 What is the EMPOWERUN 5K?
The 12th annual A Safe Place EmpoweRun 5K is a fundraising event that supports victims affected by domestic violence and human trafficking in the Chicagoland area. Money raised helps provide services to families and raise awareness about violence in communities.
A Safe Place is the sole provider of services in Lake County focusing on domestic violence and human trafficking victims. Programs include emergency shelter, therapy, advocacy, and education.
