Do you have the need? The need for speed? If you do, then this timed 1 mile run on the runway at the Chico Regional Airport is the event for you. Or, if you want a longer race, choose the 5K option with the first mile on the runway.

🏛️ About the Chico Air Museum

• Non-Profit Status: The Chico Air Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aviation and space museum located at the Chico Regional Airport.
• Visiting Hours: The museum is open to the public Thursdays-Sundays, and charges no admission.
• Exhibits: Numerous aircraft and exhibits are on display, both indoors and outdoors.
• Guided Tours: Volunteer docents are available to provide tours and explain the rich aviation history of Chico and Northern California.

🏃‍♂️ Run the Runway!

Run the Runway! is a timed mile and 5K for runners, joggers, and walkers which takes place on Runway 31R at the Chico Regional Airport. This is a rare and unique opportunity to run on an actual aircraft runway.

• Awards: Overall and age group medals will be awarded.
• Race Finish: The race ends at the Chico Air Museum which will be open to visitors following the race.
• Admission: Admission to the museum post-race is free.
• Registration Note: Those who register after March 20th are not guaranteed a shirt.
