BWL Hometown Power 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Join Us: Join us for the 15th Annual Hometown Power 5K Race on Saturday, August 9th. This is an accurate 5K on paved roads. All registered participants will receive a tech shirt and finisher medal.

💰 Proceeds

• Support: All funds raised will support the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation and Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Greater Lansing.

📍 Location

• Start Point: Race will start at BWL REO Town Headquarters on S. Washington Ave at 9 a.m.
• Course: The course will run through city streets in neighborhoods around REO Town building and on the Lansing River Trail.

💲 Pricing

• Early Registration: $25 until 8/6, then $30.

🏆 Awards

• Top Finishers: Overall awards to top male and female finisher, Masters male and female (over 40), Grandmaster male and female (over 50).
• Age Groups: Award to top place finisher in each age group: 10-and-under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-over.

🎟️ Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Day before race, Friday August 8th from 1 - 5 p.m. at REO Depot.
• Race Day: Packet pick-up on race day from 7:30-8:45 am.

🅿️ Parking

• Availability: Street parking is available throughout REO Town along with parking in the BWL lot near Cinnaire.

⚠️ Registration Reminder

• Register Early: Be sure to register early! There is no race day registration.

⏱️ Timing

• Chip Timed: The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
• Results: Results will be posted live during the race and on this website.
