🏃‍♂️ Registration Deadline

• Important date: YOU MUST REGISTER BY 8/15/25 TO SUBMIT MEMORIAL NAMES FOR SHIRTS/SIGNS, GUARANTEE A RACE SHIRT. We will not accept shirt sizes after this date!
• Post-deadline shirt option: If you are registering after this date and would like a shirt, you can check with our packet pickup committee AFTER the awards are given out and purchase a race shirt for $20 if any extras are available.
• Early Bird Registration: THANK YOU to those who took advantage of the EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION to save $5! It helps make our race planning easier and saves you money!
• Price increase: Registration fees will increase again on race day!

📝 Memorial Name Submission Deadlines

• Submission deadline: AUGUST 15, 2025 IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT MEMORIAL NAMES AND ORDER SHIRTS THIS YEAR! We cannot make any exceptions!
• Name inclusion: All participants who pre-register online by our deadline specified each year (8/15/25) will have their loved one's name included on the race shirt design and any memorial pieces for the event.
• Memorial signs: Memorial items may include a "WE REMEMBER THEM" sign to honor your loved one that is displayed throughout the course.
• Sign recycling: We will recycle the signs each year to save on printing cost, so please do not take signs with you from the run. You are welcome to take pictures!

📦 Packet Pickup Information

• Location: The Amelia Center - 1513 4th Ave S - Birmingham, AL 35233
• Date and time: Thursday, September 11th 10 am - 4:30 pm
• Pickup guidelines: We encourage you to designate one person per team to pick up your race packets. If you are not on a team but have several people, you can pick up for that's ok too! Please text 205-603-6049 with your team name (or list of participants) and time you would like to pick up packets.
• Unpicked packets: Any packets not picked up at The Amelia Center must be picked up on race day or they will be donated. We cannot hold or ship any race packets unless they are for out-of-state participants who pre-pay for shipping.

🎉 Event Overview

• Location: We are VERY excited to host our 17th memorial run/fundraiser at Homestead Hollow in Springville, AL.
• Support provided: Over the past several years, the race helped fund an amazing renovation at The Amelia Center, which has been providing services for over 25 years.
• Impact: This year, funds raised will help The Amelia Center provide community training and guidance for those who have experienced trauma.
• Feedback: We had wonderful feedback on our new race location and LOVE partnering with the owners and staff there to make this the best memorial for you!

📅 Race Day Information

• Date: Saturday, September 13, 2024
• Location: Homestead Hollow, 1161 Murphrees Valley Road Springville, AL 35146
• Arrival time: Plan to arrive no later than 7:30! We may need to block off the entrance at this time for everyone's safety.
• Registration: 7am Same Day Registration and Packet Pickup
• Start times: 8:00am 5K START followed by the FUN RUN START

🎖️ Awards

• Categories: Awards will be given for the following: 5K (chip timed) - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in gender/age categories.
• Fun Run: 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for the FUN RUN.
• Fundraisers: TOP 3 ONLINE Fundraisers - be sure to set up your fundraiser page.
• Largest team: Award for the largest team (pre-registered only).

🦠 Health Guidelines

• Illness policy: PLEASE do not come to race day if you are ill.
• Mask policy: Masks are welcome but not required.
• COVID exposure: You are required to wear a mask if you have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID within 10 days of the race.
• Hygiene: We will have hand sanitizer at the race and encourage basic health and hygiene practices like handwashing!
