Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's

🏖️ Race Overview

Join us for the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's! This unique race features the beauty of Myrtle Beach and takes advantage of the beginning of summer and the longest day of sunlight! Participants will begin on the sand at Plyler Park and head north for 1 mile and then return to complete for a total of 2 miles. Once your race is complete, join us at Plyler Park for live music, food, and fun!

• Time: 7:30 PM
• Location: Plyler Park, Myrtle Beach, SC
• Special Treat: Participants will receive a hotdog, chips, and soda/water compliments of Moe Moon's!

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

In addition, each participant can enjoy a complimentary Skywheel ride that evening. Bring your beach towel, dress up in your favorite 80s costume, and let's have a picnic together! This is a perfect event for your family to kickstart the summer season by enjoying the beauty of Myrtle Beach at sunset while getting active.

• Costume Raffle: All participants dressed in 80s attire will be entered into a costume raffle prize drawing!
• Pet Policy: No animals or strollers allowed on race course.

🤝 Non-Profit Partner

• Organization: The Grand Strand Running Club is an organization dedicated to the development of running as a vital activity for health and well-being.
• Engagement: Look for club members at packet pickup and during the race!

📋 Race Information

• Course Details: Race will begin and end on the sand regardless of the tide.
• Starting Point: Begin on the beach adjacent to Plyler Park and head north.
• Course Monitors: Course monitors will be along the course to provide direction.
• Disqualification: Animals and non-compliant wheeled devices (i.e. strollers) are not permitted on the race course.

• Date: Thursday, June 19 from 4:30-6:00 PM at Native Sons (1519 Executive Avenue, MB)
• Date: Friday, June 20 from 6:15-7:15 PM at Plyler Park (1100 N Ocean Blvd, MB)

• Participant Bib
• Participant Shirt: While supplies last
• Finisher Medal: Custom designed and Made in the USA

📝 Registration

• Online Only: Registration is only available online.
• Deadline: Registration closes Friday, June 20 at 6:00 PM.

🚗 Parking

• Meters: Metered parking available adjacent to Ocean Blvd.
• Garage: Lanier Paid Parking garage on 9th Avenue N/Hwy 17 Business.

🚻 Restrooms

• Location: Public restrooms are across the street from Plyler Park/Skywheel.

⏰ Race Schedule

• Packet Pickup: 6:15-7:15 PM.
• Race Start: 7:30 PM.
• Raffle Prizes: 8:15 PM Raffle Prizes and Costume Raffle winners.
