🌳 Race Overview
- Description: The Night Owl 5K is a run/walk through Panola Mountain State Park, just outside of Atlanta, with all proceeds benefitting AWARE's mission of wildlife rehabilitation and education!
- Wildlife Care: We accept injured and orphaned native Georgia wildlife, like an owl hit by a car or a baby opossum that lost its mom.
- Rehabilitation: We heal their wounds if they’re injured, raise them up if they’re orphaned, always with the goal of returning them to the wild.
- Participants: About half our participants walk, so it’s suitable for runners/walkers of all ages and skill levels.
🎉 Experience Highlights
- Wildlife Appearances: On race day, non-releasable AWARE wildlife will be there to cheer you on from the sidelines and greet you at the start/finish.
- Photo Opportunities: You’ll get pictures with the animals.
