🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Shore Athletic Club presents the Asbury Park George Sheehan Classic 5K on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Flat, fast USATF certified course finishing on the famous Asbury Park Boardwalk
7:50 AM Opening Ceremony at Bradley Park

📝 Registration Details

• Early Bird Rate: $36 if you register by March 9th
• Standard Rate: $40 if you register by May 9th
• Late Rate: $46 if you register by July 31st (if space permits)
• On-Site Rate: $60 to register on race day, August 9th (if space permits)

The field will be capped at 1,600 runners this year. Shirts for the first 1,200 to pick up. Register early to avoid getting closed out.

👦 Kids Races

• Registration Fee: $14 if you register by March 9th
• Mid Registration Fee: $16 if you register by July 31st
• Final Registration Fee: $20 to register on August 1 - 9th

Suggested Distances for Kids' Races:
2-4 years old: 50 meters
5-7 years old: 100 meters
8-10 years old: 200 meters
11+ years old: 400 meters

📅 Schedule of Events

• Friday: 4-7 PM - Late Registration & Bib/T-Shirt Pick-up at The Outpost in Little Silver (if available)
• Saturday: 6:30 to 7:45 AM - Late Registration and race day bib pick-up at Bradley Park
• Opening Ceremony: 7:50 AM at Bradley Park
• 5K Run: 8:00 AM begins: Kids races at 9:00 AM: Awards ceremony at 9:15 AM

🏆 Awards

• Overall Awards: Top 5 Overall Open Male and Female will win CASH Prizes
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each age group win custom Sheehan Classic beach towels and other awards
• Prize Money: Over $1300 for the top finishers
• Team Competition: Special awards for winning teams in various categories

👕 Race Tees

Soft cotton tie-dye Asbury Park Sheehan Classic shirts to participants, first 1,200 to pick up their bib/shirt!

The first 1,000 people to pick up their bibs on Friday and Saturday will also get a drink ticket for The Robinson Ale House.

💖 Charity Partner

Again this year, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County. You may also donate to the Boys and Girls Club as part of your race registration. Thank you!
