Annapolis Run for The Light House

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 16th annual Annapolis Run for The Light House provides scenic half-marathon and 5K routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. This race event is unlike any other in the greater Annapolis area!

• Proceeds: All proceeds from the Run for The Light House will benefit The Light House in Annapolis, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
• Organizer: The race is organized by Friends of The Light House, Inc., also a public charity.
• Management: Timing and race management are provided by T3 Race Management.
• Date: The race will be held on September 12, 2025.

🗓️ Dates

• In-Person: Sunday, September 14, 2025
• Virtual: Friday, September 12 - Sunday, September 14, 2025

⏰ Race Starts

• 8:00 am: Half Marathon - must finish by 11:00 am
• 8:45 am: 5K
• 9:00 am: 1.25 mile Walk
• Arrival: All Half Marathon participants should be at the starting line no later than 7:45 am and 5K by 8:30 am.

💵 Registration and Race Entry Fee Information

• Half Marathon:
  • $96.40 until July 31, 2025 (includes fees)
  • $107.00 from August 1 - August 31, 2025 (includes fees)
  • $117.60 from September 1st to Race Day (includes fees)
• 5K:
  • $46.40 until July 31, 2025 (includes fees)
  • $54.00 from August 1 - August 31, 2025
  • $63.60 from September 1st to Race Day
• 1.25 Mile Walk: $27.50 (includes fees)
• Virtual Events: $32.80 for both Virtual Half Marathon and Virtual 5K (extra fee for shirt)

• Commemorative race running shirt
• 5K - Technical Short Sleeve: Half Marathon - Technical Long Sleeve
• Finisher Medal for In-person Half Marathon Only (No medals for virtual or 5K)
• Race support and beverage stations: Post Race Food: Timing bib (5K and Half Only)

📜 Rules

• All participants must finish by 11:00 AM
• Half Marathon participants must be at least 12 years old
• 5K participants must be at least 6 years old
• No headphones: Runners only, no wheels, no strollers: No pets

📦 Packet Pick Up Instructions

(Half Marathoners and 5K runners Only!)

• DATE: Saturday, September 13, 2025
• TIME: 8:00am - Noon
• LOCATION: The Light House, 10 Hudson Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 (Note: this is a different location than the race)
• DRIVE-THRU Pick-Up: Stay in your vehicle

• Finisher medals for the Half Marathoners and 5K only
• Awards for the top 3 finishers in various age categories

👥 Volunteers

Volunteering at the RUN is super fun and a great way to help The Light House! Students can receive service hours for volunteering! (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

📈 Race Results

In-person race results will be monitored by T3 Race Management and posted to RunSignUp.com. Virtual race participants must submit results by heading to the RunSignUp.com Results Page by Sunday, September 14th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Click Here

🛒 BREAKFAST Donation Drive

Help fill our Light House Food Pantry: Boxed cold cereal, Instant oatmeal, Cereal/breakfast bars, Canned Fruits, Shelf-stable milk, Shelf stable fruit juice, Peanut Butter and Jelly/Jam. Donations can be dropped off at Packet Pick-Up or on Race Day.

🚗 Parking

Parking can be found throughout Quiet Waters Park. There will be signs and volunteers directing you to parking options on Race Day. No parking is allowed on the grass or anywhere that is not a designated parking spot.

🌐 Virtual Option

• We are excited to offer a Virtual option for the Half Marathon and 5K. Run anytime and anywhere between Friday, September 12th and Sunday, September 14th.
• Follow the steps to register, receive your shirt, run your race, and submit your results!

🌦️ Weather

The Run for The Light House will be held rain or shine. Unfortunately, no reschedule date is available if cancellation occurs due to extreme weather conditions or other force majeure.

The safety of participants, volunteers, sponsors, and staff is of utmost importance. We will follow local and state guidelines regarding COVID-19. Participants will be informed of any changes as soon as possible.
