Annapolis RUN for The Light House

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 16th annual Annapolis RUN for The Light House provides scenic half-marathon and 5k routes along the trails of Quiet Waters Park and through the beautiful Chesapeake Bay-front community of Hillsmere Shores. This race event is unlike any other in the greater Annapolis area!

🎯 Beneficiary Information

• Proceeds: All proceeds from the RUN for The Light House will benefit The Light House in Annapolis, a well-known public charity working to end the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
• Organizers: The race is organized by Friends of The Light House, Inc., also a public charity.
• Management: Timing and race management are provided by T3 Race Management.

📅 Dates

• In-Person: Sunday, September 14, 2025
• Virtual: Friday, September 12 - Sunday, September 14, 2025

⏰ Race Starts

• 8:00 AM: Half Marathon - 11:00 AM (must finish in 3 hours)
• 8:45 AM: 5K
• 9:00 AM: 1.25 mile Walk
• Note: All participants must finish by 11:00 AM.

📝 Registration and Fees

Half Marathon Entry Fee:

• Before July 31, 2025: $98.52
• August 1 - August 31, 2025: $109.12
• September 1st to Race Day: $120.78

5K Entry Fee:

• Before July 31, 2025: $48.70
• August 1 - August 31, 2025: $54.00
• September 1st to Race Day: $63.60

1.25 Mile Walk: $27.50

Virtual Half Marathon: $32.80 (extra fee for shirt)

Virtual 5K: $32.80 (extra fee for shirt)

🎽 In-Person Race Fee Includes

• Commemorative race running shirt
• Finisher Medal for Half Marathon and 5K finishers (NEW this YEAR!)
• Race support and beverage stations
• Timing bib (5K and Half Only)

📜 Rules

• All participants must finish by 11:00 AM
• Half Marathon participants must be at least 12 years old
• 5K participants must be at least 6 years old
• No headphones, wheels, strollers, or pets allowed.

📦 Packet Pick Up Instructions

Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025

Time: 8:00 AM - Noon

Location: The Light House, 10 Hudson Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

DRIVE THRU Pick-Up - Stay in your vehicle. There is no mailed race packet option. For in-person participants, packets include BIB and safety pins, a race shirt, and a swag bag.

• Awards for the top 3 finishers in various age categories

🙌 Volunteers

Volunteering at the RUN is super fun and a great way to help The Light House! Students can receive service hours for volunteering! (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

📈 Race Results

In-person race results will be monitored by T3 Race Management and posted to RunSignUp.com.

Virtual race participants must submit results by heading to the RunSignUp.com Results Page by Sunday, September 14th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Click Here for details.

🧺 BREAKFAST Donation Drive

Help fill our Light House Food Pantry with items such as boxed cold cereal, instant oatmeal, cereal bars, canned fruit, shelf-stable milk, juice, peanut butter, and jelly. Donations can be dropped off at Packet Pick-Up or on Race Day.

🅿️ Parking

Parking can be found throughout Quiet Waters Park. There will be signs and volunteers directing you to parking options on Race Day.

🌍 Virtual Option

We are excited to offer a Virtual option for the Half Marathon and 5K. Virtual races are fun and convenient! Run anytime and anywhere - solo or with your team between Friday, September 12th and Sunday, September 14th.

• Register for the virtual event.
• Commemorative T-shirts are available for an additional fee and will be available for pickup at the Saturday packet pickup. You may also choose to have your t-shirt mailed to you for a fee.
• Run your race and submit your results online by September 14th.

☔ Weather

The Run for The Light House will be run rain or shine. Unfortunately, no reschedule date is available if cancellation occurs due to extreme weather conditions.

The safety of participants, volunteers, sponsors, and staff is of utmost importance. We will be following local and state guidelines as they relate to COVID-19.
