🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 2025 Escape Through The Cape 5k and 1 mile fun run will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2025. Come out to the Cape Saint Claire Elementary School for our 8:30 am start time and stay for our Fit Family Festival through 11 AM. Tech material race shirts available to those who register by 3/30. Custom finisher medals for EVERYONE!!!. We will have FREE activities for kids and a variety of local vendors will be on hand. Plus, join us for great refreshments following the race.

📝 Registration Details

• Shirt Availability: Short sleeve technical shirts (Youth S - Adult 4XL) available to those who register by 4/11/25.
• Online Registration: Available until 4/25/25.
• Race Day Registration: Available starting at 7:30 AM.

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 7:30 AM: Late Registration and Packet Pick Up
• 8:15 AM: Opening Ceremony
• 8:30 AM: 5K Start
• 8:45 AM: 1 Mile Start - Awards Ceremony to Follow 5K

Fit Family Festival - 8 AM - 11 AM

🏆 Awards

First place winners in each category (5k Run ONLY) will receive a small prize after the race - 5 & under, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65, 65-69, 70 & above. Finisher medals will be given to all finishers.

💖 Charity Information

Your $30, non-refundable race fee will be applied towards the Cape Saint Claire Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The Cape St. Claire Parent Teacher Organization (CSC-PTO) is dedicated to supporting the education and well being of the children in attendance at the Cape St. Claire Elementary School, and also to supporting the efforts of their teachers and families. To that end the organization raises funds, organizes social events, sponsors enrichment programs and coordinates volunteer efforts.

❓ Additional Information/FAQs

• Rain Policy: This event is a RAIN or SHINE event. In the case of a weather emergency necessitating cancellation, please check your e-mail for notification.
• Strollers: Strollers are welcome! This is a great event for the WHOLE family.
• Registering Stroller Children: We encourage you to register everyone who will participate. Shirts run as small as Youth XS and all finishers, including those rolling in strollers, will receive a medal. If you opt to not register your stroller child, kindly fill out a waiver on the morning of the event prior to starting the course.
• 5K Participation: Children must be accompanied by an adult to run the 5K. Please register an adult to run with your child.
• Dogs: In accordance with guidelines set by the county schools, pets are prohibited.
