Event: The Spring Backyard Burn (SBYB) is a series of 5 and 10 mile trail running races.
Location: The races are held on some of the best trail networks in the Northern Virginia Area.
Course Features: All the courses include a mixture of forested fire roads, twisty hiking trails, stream crossings, grassy fields, and minimal pavement.

🌲 Course Description
Scenic Location: Situated on Gunston Cove and adjacent to Mason Neck National Wildlife Refuge and Gunston Hall, home of Founding Father George Mason.
Trail Quality: The trails are excellent, with amazing water views and common bald eagle sightings.
Technical Challenge: The moderately technical course includes tight single-track, wide open double-track, challenging climbs, and flowy descents.
