🏃‍♂️ Event Details

• Join: the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for their Annual K9 5K Run/Walk!
• Purpose: This event helps raise funds for many of our community programs and the LCSO K9 Unit.
• Course: Join us for a rolling 5K course with a downhill finish.
• Challenge: A great way to challenge yourself while supporting an amazing cause.

• LCSO Spring K9 5K: In-person 5K Run/Walk
• LCSO Spring Kids’ ½ Mile: Fun run for children
• LCSO Spring Virtual 5K: Run anywhere between May 1 – May 30, 2025

🎉 Special Features

• Live K-9 Demonstration: Enjoy live demonstrations by K-9 units.
• Family-friendly: Fun activities for all ages.
• Kids' Race: ½ Mile Kids' Race for the little ones.
• Awards Ceremony: Celebrate the winners after the race.

🗓️ Schedule of Events

• Packet Pickup: Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at LCSO (1 Woolfolk Ave, Suite 101, Louisa, VA 23093)
• Race Day Pickup: Starts at 7:00 AM at Spring Creek Sports Center
• 7:00 AM: Race Day Packet Pickup Begins
• 8:30 AM: 5K Race Start
• 9:30 AM: ½ Mile Kids Race Start
• 10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony (Approximate)
• 10:15 AM: K-9 Demonstration (Approximate)

🌐 Virtual Race Details

• Participation: For those unable to attend in person, participate in our Virtual K9 5K anytime between May 1 and May 30, 2025.
• Run: Anywhere, including a treadmill!
• Submission: Submit a photo of yourself with your bib.
• Log Your Time: at: LCSO K9 5K Registration

🐾 Dog-Friendly Event Guidelines

• Welcome: All well-behaved dogs are welcome!
• Leashing: Dogs must be leashed (max 6’ lead, no retractable leashes).
• Water Station: A water station will be available.
• Clean Up: Owners must clean up after their dogs.
• Clubhouse Policy: Dogs are not permitted in the clubhouse.
• Vaccination: All dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations.

⚠️ Event organizers reserve the right to remove aggressive or ill dogs. Owners assume full responsibility for their pets.
