44th Annual Boar's Head Turkey Trot 5K

🦃 Join the Turkey Trot Tradition!

• Event: Join us for a Charlottesville tradition on Thanksgiving Day for the 44th annual Boar's Head Turkey Trot 5K road race benefitting UVA Health Children's!
• Location: The course starts and ends at Boar's Head Resort. The route winds through the surrounding neighborhoods and is very hilly.
• Invitation: We invite you and your family to move your feet before you eat!

• Race Start Time: 9 a.m.
• Giveaway: Long sleeve unisex t-shirt for all registrants.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Tuesday, Nov. 18: Three Notch’d Brewing Company from 5 – 7 p.m. Enjoy a 10% discount on food & beverage or to-go beer purchased on the packet pickup night.
• Saturday, Nov. 22: McArthur Squash Center at the Boar's Head Sports Club from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Tuesday, Nov. 25: McArthur Squash Center at the Boar's Head Sports Club from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Nov. 26: McArthur Squash Center at the Boar's Head Sports Club from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

• Registration: No, registration is only available online through Run Sign Up.
• Arrival Time: We encourage runners to arrive early and recommend arriving no later than 8 a.m.
• Parking: Parking is available at the resort but is limited. Carpooling is strongly encouraged!
• Awards Ceremony: Yes, we will have an awards ceremony to award the top finisher for both men and women in each age group beginning at approximately 9:35 am.

👶 For the Kids

• Tiny Turkeys 1/4 Mile Dash: We invite everyone ages eight and under to participate in a free and fun race to start the morning! Gather at 8:15 a.m.
• Event Completion: The event and social will conclude at 11 a.m.
• Strollers: Yes, strollers are allowed.
• Pets: No, pets are not allowed on the race course.

• Packet Pickup: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet for you.
• Hydration: No, but water is available at the Finish.
• ID Requirement: Yes, we will check ID at the beverage tent.
