Join us on Saturday, May 17th, for Healing Hearts: Walk/Run/MOVE! for Suicide Prevention, a powerful day of movement, community, and collective care benefiting Crisis Support Services of Alameda County. Whether you walk, run, roll, or dance, every action you take supports life-saving suicide prevention services in our community.

• Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025
• Location: Edoff Bandstand, Lake Merritt
• Start Times:
  • 8:30 AM: Registration & Check-in Opens
  • 9:30 AM: Run Begins
  • 9:35 AM: Walk Begins
• Not a runner? No problem! Choose your pace—whether that means walking, rolling, or skipping your way through the course. Or spend the day at the movement classes or fair. It’s up to you!

• Gentle Yoga & Stretching: 10:05 - 10:35 AM – Wind down and restore with a grounding session focused on collective healing.
• Energizing Dance Class: 10:40 - 11:10 AM – Feel the joy, move your body, and celebrate with community-powered beats!

🎤HEALING HEARTS PROGRAM & WELLNESS FAIR

• Health & Wellness Fair: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, featuring local organizations, wellness practitioners, and community resources.
• Healing Hearts Program: 9:00 AM – TBD. Celebrate the resilience of our community!

Looking for a special way to show support? Purchase a Memorial or Tribute Sign to be displayed at the event.

💗WHY WE MOVE

Every dollar raised goes directly to Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, providing free, 24/7 crisis support, suicide prevention, and mental health services to those in need. By signing up, fundraising, or donating, you’re ensuring that no one has to struggle alone. Our event reduces the stigma associated with depression and living with mental health challenges, educates the community about local resources and services, and supports suicide prevention programs. We are providing a healing space for people who have lost loved ones to suicide and those who are currently living with suicidal experiences.

Our vision is to bring the community together and celebrate healing through a diversity of movement activities. Members of our community will lead various kinds of movement including Tai Chi, dance, as well as some exciting other movement activities. All physical abilities are welcome. Building community is most important to us. That is why sign-up is free with a suggested donation of $35. We are most excited about you getting your friends and family involved!
