👟 Event Overview

Red Sneakers For Food Allergy Awareness Walk/Run allows us to educate, spread awareness, and come together as an allergy community. The event includes Teal Pumpkin activities and education to help create allergy awareness and make the event family-friendly.

🎉 Significance of the Event

• Community Impact: The walk/run and teal pumpkin festival is our largest annual event that will continue to sustain allergy awareness, education, research, advocacy and support in our community.
• Event Outcomes: Outcomes of this event will be a larger allergy community, robust sustainable support group, and bridged allergy education gaps at the school and healthcare, underserved and community.

• Teal Pumpkin Map: Add your house or business to the teal pumpkin map in October before or during our event to qualify for raffle prizes.

📸 Social Media Engagement

• Red Sneakers Theme: Wear your red sneakers or anything red and post pictures of yourself to our social media and on Race Roster to qualify for special swag raffle prizes.
• Photo Sharing: Photos/posts can include training, our partners, other races, our race or the Peoria area. After the race post pictures of your red sneakers and teal pumpkins.
• Halloween Activities: You can also include photos/posts of Halloween activities at our event and at home. Each post qualifies for additional entries for swag prizes.
• Follow Us: Follow us on social media for discounts and updates. Utilize the referral option to earn money.

🤝 Support and Participation

• Employer Benefits: Employers can utilize the gift option to offer employees reduced or free registrations.
• Donations: Donate to participants to help registered participants achieve their fundraising goal.
• Join Us: So put on your red sneakers come get your teal pumpkins and help us raise money for food allergy awareness.
• Event Consistency: This event occurs rain or shine. No dogs allowed.

👕 Registration Information

• T-Shirt Inclusion: T-Shirt Included With Registration. Our shirts are critical to helping us spread food allergy awareness.
• Youth Discount: Kids 12 and Under Register for $10 Less. Price Automatically Discounted at Checkout.
• Virtual Options: Participate from anywhere or add biking & swimming to your in-person run to make it a duathlon or triathlon.
• Results Submission: Virtual participants and duathlon or triathlon participants please post your event results on race roster and our social media prior to race announcement to qualify for prizes.
