• Event: One of the most popular events at the Morton Pumpkin Festival is our Pumpkin Classic Run & Walk, sponsored by LIBBY’S® Pumpkin.
• Timing: The 2-mile event is officially an untimed fun run/walk and kicks off just ahead of the 10K runners.
• Start Times: Festivities begin at 7:00am: 2-milers at 7:15am and 10k runners at 7:30am.
• Course: The flat course runs through town to the outskirts of Morton and finishes on Jefferson Street, in the heart of the Pumpkin Festival.

🧑‍🦽 Participation Details

• Inclusivity: The 2-mile fun run/walk welcomes old, young, short, tall, strollers, and wheelchairs.
• Restrictions: No roller blades or pets (including dogs) allowed in either event.
• Post Race Party: Join us for beverages, snacks, pumpkin donuts, music, and fun with fellow racers and family members.
• Awards Ceremony: Set for approximately 9:00am after the races.

🥇 Awards

• Finishers: All 10K finishers will receive a pumpkin finisher’s medal.
• Top Winners: Top overall winner for the 10K Men's and Women's Divisions will receive $50 in Morton Chamber Checks.
• Age Group Prizes: The Top 3 Men and Women in each age group (10K) receive a pumpkin pie! Age Groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
• 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk: No prizes but includes the post-race party and the Pumpkin Pancake & Sausage breakfast!

📅 Race Weekend Schedule

• Friday: 4:00PM - 8:00PM - Packet Pickup at The KILN @ Morton Junior High School. (Note extended hours and larger location for 2024.)
• Saturday: Beginning at 6:00AM - Limited Packet Pickup in the 200 block of North First Avenue.
• Announcements: 7:00AM on Saturday.
• Race Start Times: 7:15AM for 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk: 7:30AM for 10K.
• Post-Race: Approximately 9:00AM - Post-Race Party & Awards Ceremony @ Corner of Jefferson and 1st!
