🏃‍♂️ Who We Are Running For

• Beneficiaries: Blue Star Service Dogs (blue star service dogs) and Bay Veterans Foundation (bay veterans foundation)

🗓️ When and Where

• Date: 22 May 2025
• Time: 18:30 (6.30pm) for the 5k, 19:15 (7.15pm) for the longer-k
• Location: Veterans Memorial Park, John F Kennedy Drive, Bay City, MI

💻 Virtual Participation

• Option: If you can't make the event day, there is a virtual option available.
• Items: We'll ensure your items are sent to you.

💵 Cost

• Basic Fee: $10 for the run (without a shirt) if signed up by 11 May.
• Shirt Option: $35 for the run with a shirt if signed up by 5 May.
• Day-of Registration: Adds mockery for $15 total: $25-$28 for leftover shirts.

🏅 What You Get

• Dog Tag: Personalized dog tag included with registration.
• Shirt: Option to add a cool shirt.
• Exercise: Opportunity for exercise and support for veterans.
• Memory: Honoring a specific group of DoD personnel who never came home.

🎯 Capacity and Participation

• Limit: Capacity of 200 participants with a rolling start.
• Types: Open to runners, walkers, and ruckers.
• Teamwork: Focus on honoring servicepeople rather than individual achievement.

🏁 Race Description

• 5K Course: A straightforward course, where the leader carries the American flag.
• Longer-K: Distance will be adjusted, with exercise intervals to remember veterans.
• Flag Protocol: Ensure the flag never touches the ground during the race.

🎖️ Standard Bearers

• Immortalization: Standard bearers will have their names and date on the flagstaff.
• Prizes: Fastest individuals will receive beer or soda as a reward.

👕 Shirt Orders

• Virtual Option: Choose a virtual option for a shirt and personalized dog tag.
• Donation: At least $5 from each purchase goes to BSSD and BVF.
