Shine On: A Colorful Tribute to Kenzie

🎉 Event Overview

Together with the Frankstown Elementary School faculty, the Frankstown PTO is hosting Shine On: A Colorful Tribute to Kenzie, a color run on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in memory of beloved teacher Kenzie Schneeberger.

🏃‍♀️ Race Details

• Event Type: Un-timed 2K walk/run and 5K event
• Date: May 17, 2025
• Location: Hollidaysburg Area Senior High
• Course: Participants will be “colored” in Color Zones while running or walking the loop on the cross-country course.

💖 Purpose

With this run, funds will be raised to update the walking track behind Frankstown Elementary School, as well as to donate to the family. Following the update, the track will be re-dedicated in memory of Kenzie. Kenzie was a kind, loving, and caring member of the FKS community. She greeted every day, and every student and staff member, with a smile and joy. Kenzie truly was the sunshine at Frankstown. She is missed by so many in the community, and updating and re-dedicating the walking track will be a meaningful way to remember and connect with her for many years to come.

• Join the Party: Stay for a day full of color, community, and wonderful memories of Kenzie! Enjoy food trucks and a DJ before and after the race!
• Location: The start and finish line will be at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School.

• 10 AM: 5K starts
• 11 AM: 2K walk/run starts
• Community Party: Enjoy food trucks and dancing to the DJ's music!

📝 Registration Information

Early Registration: Registration paper forms can be turned in at Frankstown Elementary School main offices or you may register on runsignup.com. Register by April 18, 2024 to be guaranteed a short sleeve shirt.

Day of Race Registration: Race registration for the day of is only available from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM. Not Guaranteed a race shirt.

• Shine On 2K Color Walk/Run Immediate Family Member: Early Registration: $15, Day of Registration: $20

• Shine On 2K Color Walk/Run Community: Early Registration: $30, Day of Registration: $35

Registration includes a short sleeve shirt and race goodie bag: Youth S-XL & Adult S - 4XL

⚠️ Cancellation Disclaimer

In the event of a cancellation of Shine On: A Colorful Tribute to Kenzie, all proceeds will be given to Frankstown PTO to update the walking track at Frankstown Elementary School and benefit the family of Kenzie Schneeberger.

🌧️ Inclement Weather

We will be monitoring the forecast and in the event of inclement weather the race will be postponed to a later date provided by the Shine On: A Colorful Tribute to Kenzie. Any updates will be posted on the race website.
