Fort Wayne Orthopedics presents Runners on Pace 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Fort Wayne Running Club is proud to host Runners on Pace “ROP” presented by Fort Wayne Orthopedics (formerly Runners on Parade) at its new location on the campus of our awesome title sponsor.

• Course: Experience a flat & fast course (mostly roads with a straight stretch of paved trail in the final mile).
• Awards: Cash prizes for overall open and master winners, gift cards for age group top three, and youth awards.
• Refreshments: Post-race refreshments and awards presentation under the canopy.
• Shirts: Custom designed race shirts for participants.

🌳 Location & Accessibility

This location offers easy access to parking and the course boundaries the very beautiful Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve (Trip Advisor’s #24 of 114 things to do in Fort Wayne).

• Appeal: This course will appeal to both serious competitors and casual walkers/runners/families.
• Experience: A fun and social summer morning awaits for all participants.
• Perks: Stay tuned for additional perks that will make this 5K a “must do” experience for all!

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Will occur on Friday 7/11/25 at Fleet Feet Southwest from 2-7 pm, and on race morning 7/12/25 under the canopy at Fort Wayne Orthopedics at 6:30 AM.
• Late Registration: Offered at Fleet Feet on Friday 7/11/24, but no race day registration will be available.
• Start Time: The race will start at 8:00am. The finalized course will be posted here once available.
• Awards: Awards and post-run snacks will be offered under the canopy.

📝 Safety Measures

The Fort Wayne Running Club plans to follow guidance and implement safety measures for the benefit of all participants.

• Registration: The race will be limited to pre-registered runners. Sign up soon!
• Safety Precautions: Runners are encouraged to take all necessary safety precautions on their own.
• Self-Seeding: Timing mats will be at the start: self-seed based on projected paces.
• Water Stations: There will be a water stop along the course and water for finishers.

Additional safety recommendations include consulting with physicians for high-risk groups and those feeling unwell not to participate.
