Jefferson Township High School invites you to take part in an unforgettable event! Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 17, 2025, and join us for the Tulip Trotāa 5K run dedicated to raising funds for Parkinsonās disease research.

š¼ Why the Tulip?
The tulip has been a recognized symbol of Parkinsonās disease since the 9th World Parkinsonās Disease Day Conference in 2005. However, its connection to the disease dates back even furtherāto 1980, when Dutch horticulturist J.W.S. Van der Wereld, who had Parkinsonās, developed a red and white tulip. He named it the Dr. James Parkinson tulip in honor of the physician who first described the disease in 1817.
