2025 Geo Foundation 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Join us for a day of togetherness, fun, and movement outdoors.

⏱️ Event Details

• Date: 2025-06-08
• Location: Brookdale Park, Bloomfield, NJ
• Course: The event will be officially timed and utilizes a USATF certified course map, which consists of roughly 3 laps around the park. Walkers will complete one lap, while runners will do all three.
• Timing: Participants have the option to not be timed while registering, if preferred.

🏅 Awards

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Women: Ages 40+
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Women: Ages 20-39
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Women: Ages 11-19
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Men: Ages 40+
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Men: Ages 20-39
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Men: Ages 11-19
• Special Awards: All participants 10 and Under.

🍔 Refreshments

We will have food and refreshments available at both the beginning and end of the event.

❤️ About Geo Foundation

The Geo Foundation honors George "Geo" Batikha and the many youth and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. All proceeds will go towards our two programs:

1. Community Fund: Scholarships awarded to promising youth who champion our cause.
2. Family Assistance Fund: Direct grants provided to families who have a child going through cancer. Any funds not donated by the end of the year are donated to a charity focused on supporting families impacted by youth cancer. Currently, that nonprofit is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
