As Memorial Day approaches this May, join us in making a difference for our nation’s heroes by participating in the Legacy of Courage Half Marathon. All proceeds from this inspiring event will benefit The Outdoor Disabled Veterans Program (The ODV), through Knowledge Point Network. This is more than just a race—it’s an opportunity to honor and support disabled veterans by helping them reconnect with the healing power of nature in a community that understands their struggles.

• Veterans Unity: Veterans with physical injuries and those with invisible wounds of war come together through KPN to find healing, support, and camaraderie.
• Empowerment: The ODV’s programs center around outdoor adventures and therapeutic activities, empowering veterans to overcome challenges.

🏃‍♂️ Race Distances Available

The Legacy of Courage Half Marathon offers race distances for participants of all levels:

• 1 Mile: Designed for all ages and experience levels.
• 5K: A popular distance that is both chip-timed and fun.
• Half Marathon: A challenging 13.1 miles for experienced runners.
• Kids Dash: A fun event for children ages 10 and under to get involved in the spirit of the race!

Nestled northeast of Tomball, Texas, Burroughs Park is one of Harris County Precinct 4’s most cherished outdoor destinations. Spanning an impressive 320 acres, this versatile park offers the perfect setting for our Legacy of Courage Half Marathon. The park’s blend of natural beauty, recreation, and accessibility creates an inspiring backdrop for participants of all ages and abilities.

• Vendors: The event will feature vendors offering a variety of products and services for participants and spectators.
• Post-Race Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments to recharge after your run.
• Hosted by Bigfoot Running Company: Expect an exciting and well-organized event filled with fun and energy.
• Awards: Age group awards and overall winner awards to celebrate top performances.

🏆 Special Awards and Recognition

All finishers of all distances will receive a medal and shirt.

🗓️ Event Schedule

• 5:30-6:45am: Packet Pickup
• 6:55am: Kids Dash (Meet at the Start Line)
• 7:00am: National Anthem and Race Start!
• Awards: Results and Awards are live and available at the Registration tent immediately following your finish!

🌧️ Weather Policy

Bigfoot races proceed rain, shine, hot or cold. Packet pickup is always offered for 1.5 hours before the event start time. If additional packet pickup is scheduled, it will be communicated via email to all registered participants a minimum of 1 week before the race.

Sign up under the "VOLUNTEER" tab on the top menu. Full Race volunteers earn a Bigfoot race shirt, VIP race access, and a choice of a FREE race entry to a future event or a $20 pre-paid digital gift card!
