Mission: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Support: LLS volunteers help carry out this mission in various ways, supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and our community.
Advocacy: They drive policy advocacy, participate in campaigns, and help LLS build much-needed capacity.
🌍 Student Visionaries Program
Leadership Development: Student Visionaries of the Year is a philanthropic leadership development program for exemplary high school students.
Skills Fostered: Participants develop professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management to raise funds for LLS.
Award: The title Student Visionary of the Year is awarded to the candidate or co-candidates in each community that raise the most funds during the 7-week competition.
🏆 Fundraising and Teamwork
Team Effort: Candidates and their teams raise money in honor of a patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer.
Team Selection: Candidates will select team members who will help them to achieve fundraising goals.
