Girls on the Run Spring Celebratory 5k presented by Dayton Children's Hospital and made possible by Up and Running

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

The Spring rendition of the Girls on the Run 5k will return to Wright State University. Girls on the Run is an incredible program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run strives for a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

👟 Running Buddy Support

• Role of Running Buddy: Our Girls on the Run participants traditionally run alongside an adult Running Buddy.
• Support and Encouragement: The job of the Running Buddy is to provide one-on-one support and encouragement as the girl takes on a great challenge.
• Join the Fun: YOU can help our girls find their happy pace and share in the magic of helping her cross the finish line.
• Race Day Giveaway: The race day give-away is a Girls On The Run branded cinch bag, available on a first come first served basis – so don't wait to sign up!

🏁 Fun Run Details

Back this year, we are continuing a Fun Run. The half-mile fun run will start and finish at the same start finish line as the 5K.

• Timing: The Fun Run will start at 1:30pm and will not be timed, but we will run the clock for participants to see their time.
• Open Participation: It is open to anyone not quite ready to take on the entire 5K - a great opportunity for younger siblings and friends!

📅 Event Information

• Date: Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00pm.
• Location: Wright State University (park in Lot 17).
• Cost: $25 Early Bird (now through April 26th) and $30 after April 26th.
• Who Can Participate: EVERYONE is invited to participate!
