🎉 Event Announcement

• Important Update: We regret to inform our 2025 participants that after careful consideration of our Race Director's health, we have canceled the 7th Annual Fort Mardi Gras 5k & will reschedule for February 7, 2026.
• Refund Requests: If you have signed up and would like a refund, please reply to Email pr.ekelsey@gmail.com with your name, and we will refund you from our runsignup account.
• Sign-Up Transfer: If you don't respond, we will transfer your sign-up to next year.
• Happy Mardi Gras 2025! We apologize for any inconvenience.

📍 Race Details

• New Date: The 7th Annual Fort Mardi Gras Fun 5k Run/Walk & Fest is rescheduled for February 7th, 2026.
• New Location: Ferry Park, Fort Walton Beach, Florida with race starting at 9 am and free Mardi Gras festivities till 3 pm.
• Check-In: Check-in plus start/finish is located at Ferry Park Entrance (56 Ferry Rd NE).
• Support Local: Please come prepared to support our vendors, food trucks & visit with our sponsors before you leave to go home!

🎊 Registration Info

• Children Registrations: As of 1-17-2024, children 10 & under are free with adult registration. You will register your child on race day when you pick up your packet & bib numbers.
• Day-of Registration: All same-day registers and if you missed packet pickup days, please arrive at the park as early as 8:30 am to get checked in!
• Race Start Time: The race will start at 9 am with Mardi Gras festivities till 3 pm (FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC).
• Medals: Every participant will receive a custom Mardi Gras medal! (Same-day registrants not guaranteed).

🎈 Event Features

• Family Fun: A family fun event for all to enjoy! Vendors, face painting, gumbo, music, Mardi Gras beads & more!
• Pet-Friendly: Leashed dogs are welcome! Or stroll with your baby stroller!
• Community Support: The 5k will be our 6th Annual, presented by the John Cain Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to support active minds and uplift young adults, their family, and peers.
• Mental Health Awareness: The race is designed to address mental health issues by promoting proper exercise and encouraging mental stability.

🗓️ Race Schedule

• Race Starts: 9 a.m. with Mardi Gras festivities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ferry Park, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
• Festival Access: The festival part of the event is free and open to the public!
