Event Update: We regret to inform our 2025 participants that, after careful consideration of our Race Director’s health, the 7th Annual Fort Mardi Gras 5K has been canceled and rescheduled for February 7, 2026.
Refund Information: If you have already registered and would like a refund, please contact us at pr.ekelsey@gmail.com with your name, and we will process your refund via our RunSignup account. If we do not receive a response, your registration will be transferred to next year’s event.

New Location: Please note, the rescheduled 7th Annual Fort Mardi Gras 5K Run/Walk & Festival will take place at Ferry Park, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on February 7, 2026. The race will start at 9:00 AM, followed by free Mardi Gras festivities until 3:00 PM.

Vendor Support: Please come prepared to support our vendors, food trucks & visit with our sponsors before you leave to go home!
Same Day Registration: ALL SAME DAY REGISTERS and if you MISSED PACKET PICK UP DAYS PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE PARK AS EARLY AS 8:30 AM to get checked in! THE RACE WILL START AT 9 AM, with Mardi Gras Festivities till 3 PM (FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC)

Family-Friendly: A Family Fun Event for all to enjoy! Vendors, Face Painting, Gumbo, Music, Mardi Gras Beads & More!
Pet Policy: Leashed Dogs are Welcome!! Or Stroll with your Baby Stroller!!
Foundation: The 5k will be our 6th Annual, presented by the John Cain Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to support active minds and uplift young adults, their family and peers.
Focus: We want to focus foremost on MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS!
Community Impact: Mental Health/Disease is a social dilemma that's greatly damaging our communities.
Goal: Together we will raise awareness while embracing diversity, supporting one another and using this stance to help direct hundreds of lives as we get closer to defeating mental disease to the fullest extent possible.

Race Starts: Race Starts: 9 a.m. With Mardi Gras Festivities 11 a.m.-3 p.m. @ Ferry Park, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Festival Access: The Festival Part of the event is FREE and open to the Public!
