23rd Annual Beaver Volunteer Fire Department / Heritage Valley Health System 5K/10K Race

🏃‍♂️ Celebrate 23 Years of Running!

The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department 5K/10K Race is the longest continual and most attended organized race in Beaver County.

One visit to the Borough of Beaver and you’ll see why! Our scenic town boasts broad, tree-lined streets, thriving downtown, and lots of public parks. Beaver is on the National Register of Historic Places and it is named as a “Tree City USA.”

A long stretch of the race course overlooks the majestic Ohio River. Beaver Volunteer Fire Department has been proud to co-sponsor with Heritage Valley Health Systems for the past 20 years.

🗓️ Race Details

Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025

Time: 8:00 AM EDT

The annual race/walk is Beaver County’s premier race event and uses a scenic route through the historic neighborhoods of Beaver, PA.

Safety: Intersections are manned by police, firefighters, and community volunteers to avoid problems between cars and race participants. For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted.

Schedule:

• 10K Race: Begins at 8:00 AM
• Toddler Trot: Scheduled for 9:00 AM
• 5K Race/Walk: Starts at 9:30 AM
• Timing Updates: Start timing might slightly vary depending on the 10K race finishing.

📝 Registration and Packet Pick-Up

Registration Dates:

• Friday, May 30, 2025: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Race Day: 6:30 AM – 8:45 AM (10K registration will close at 7:45 AM)

⏱️ Chip Timing and Finishing Details

Chip Timing: Service provided by Miles of Smiles Timing Services (www.smileymiles.com)

Finish Line: Water and fruit will be provided at the Finish Line. Other food vendors scheduled to appear.

Awards Ceremony: Will begin as soon as the results are available.

• Top three Overall: Men and women for 5K & 10K Race
• Masters: (40+) Male & female

Medals for:

• Top three: Men and women in each age group for 5K & 10K Race
• All children: 12 & under

Age Groups: 12 & Under, 13-15 years old, 16-19 years old, 20-24 years old, 25-29 years old, 30-34 years old, 35-39 years old, 40-44 years old, 45-49 years old, 50-54 years old, 55-59 years old, 60-64 years old, 65-69 years old, 70 & Over.

Adult or Youth size shirt size guarantee with registration through Friday, May 16, 2025.

🚶‍♀️ Walkers

All walkers will be timed as part of the 5K race. No separate awards for walkers, but times will be included in the 5K race and will be eligible for 5K age group awards.

🌧️ Rain Checks & Refunds

In the event of dangerous weather, the race may be delayed, but will be held that day. No refunds will be issued for any reason.
