Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

🎉 Event Overview
First Annual: This will be our 1st Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Riverside.
Community Commitment: We are excited to grow the community’s commitment to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Partners: This event is put on in conjunction with CalFire, the Riverside County Sheriffs Department, and the Ben Clark Training Center.
📏 How Far is the Run?
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
Participation: Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
📍 Event Address
Location: Ben Clark Training Center 16902 Bundy Ave, Riverside, CA 92518.
📦 Packet Pickup
When: Packet pick up will be available on the morning of the event at the Ben Clark Training Center beginning at 7am.
Pre-Event Pickup: Check back for information on a pre-event day packet pick up as the event date approaches!
🔖 Day of Registration
Onsite Registration: Yes, registration will open at 7am the morning of the run at the Ben Clark Training Center.
Advice: You’ll save time and money if you register in advance.
Shirt Availability: If you wait to register we may not have a shirt for you and we do not guarantee sizes for late registrants.
🅿️ Parking Information
Availability: Yes, there is plenty of parking at the Ben Clark Training Center.
Access: Please enter through Bundy Ave and Krameria. Ferguson and Larry Parrish will be closed to traffic starting at 7:30am.
📋 Bib Number Requirements
Display: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Course Policy: Those who run without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.
🏅 Awards
Medals: Award medals will be given to the top three men/women, boys/girls under 18, and the top 3 first responders running in their turnout gear.
💧 Water Availability
Locations: Yes, water will be available at the Start Line and Finish Line.
🎒 Event Participation Guidelines
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted.
Start Position: We ask that those with strollers start towards the back.
Valuables: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle.
💰 Registration and Fundraising
Fundraising Goals: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Packet Pickup by Others: Yes, they can pick up your packet if they present a copy of your registration receipt.
Team Donations: Yes, donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
