Race Details

• Event Type: The Run Through the Pines is a destination run and a San Bernardino, Rim Mountain Community Event.
• History: It is one of the longest "running" runs in Southern California (the first one was in 1979).
• Course: Features a 10K and 5K run (or walk) around Lake Gregory and through a pine tree forest.
• Staging Area: Race day staging is at the San Moritz Lodge “Meadow” area near the Lake Gregory Company bait and tackle shop.

Location

Lake Gregory is located in Crestline, a charming little town filled with one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. We encourage all runners to stay the weekend and enjoy the town.

Registration

• Pre-registration: We prefer all participants pre-register online for a quicker check-in on the day of the run.
• Same-day Registration: Registration will be open onsite from 6:30 am on August 8.
• Fees: Until April 30 - $40 per participant: May 1 - August 7 - $50 per participant: Same Day Registration (August 8) - $60 per participant.
• T-shirts: Run T-shirts are not included in registration fee. T-shirts are $20 per shirt.

Timing & Awards

RFID CHIP TIMED by ITZ ABOUT TIME. Top three overall trophies and age division awards 3 deep in the following categories: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 plus.

Tentative Schedule of Run Day

• 6:30 AM: Check-in / Same day Registration
• 8:00 AM: 10K Start
• 8:30 AM: 5K Start
• 9:30 AM: Awards

Music, water, post refreshments.

Sponsorship

The Run Through the Pines is a mountain community event hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District and the Lake Gregory Company. The run relies on sponsors and/or local businesses and organizations to enhance the runner's experience on race day. If you would like more information on how to become a sponsor, please call the Park District Office, (909) 337-7275.

Volunteers

We love our volunteers and honestly, the event couldn't happen without them! We are currently looking for Registration and Race Kit Pick-up volunteers, Water Station Volunteers, Start/Finish Line Volunteers, and lots of course marshals to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone. Contact the Park District Office if you would like to volunteer.

Parking

Parking is offered onsite at the San Moritz Lodge and in Lake Gregory parking lots. Please do not park directly in the Crest Forest Senior Citizens parking area or near their building, you will be towed.
