Saturday, August 2, 2025 Green Valley Lake 5k/10K/Half Marathon. (Between Running Springs and Big Bear in the San Bernardino Mountains.)
Best course ever! Starts with a flat side of the lake on an out and back 3/4 mile lake view up Green Valley Lake Rd. with a left on Lakeside Dr. It then gradually ascends up Green Valley Lake Dr to a forest service road with a 400 foot climb to a rewarding overlook and the 5k turn around. The 10k and 1/2 Marathon continue on that beautiful forest service road 2N13 do an out and back along rolling terrain with pine trees and view overlooks. Course support and water stations every 1.5 miles out and back.
BEST PART ABOUT THIS RACE?! The AWESOME Quality custom event shirts... and the finisher medals. PLUS, custom made top three overall awards for each race distance. AND, age division awards three deep in 5 year age spans up to 80 and over!
PICK up BIBS & SHIRTS race morning from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Or, Friday afternoon, August 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. LOCATION: Black Dog Social Club & Shop.
After the race, enjoy live band music, food, and awards at the Community Garden. Expect a good hometown community welcome. Coffee and pastries available at packet pick up and race morning.

Proceeds will benefit The Childrenโs Forest and the Southern California Mountains Foundation, a non-profit organization located in the San Bernardino National Forest. This spectacular 3,400-acre area of forest is preserved to provide opportunities for youth to take a leadership role in forest management.
We also support all the local entities. LIKE the Community Garden, where your awards are handed out. And the Community Museum, that is handing out water at your first and last water station on the course.
