Green Valley Lake 5k/10k/& Half Marathon

🏞️ Race Overview

Saturday, August 2, 2025 Green Valley Lake 5k/10K/Half Marathon. (Between Running Springs and Big Bear in the San Bernardino Mountains.)

🕖 Start Times

• Half Marathon: 7:30 AM (7 AM start for slow half estimated to take over 3 3/4 hours)
• 5k/10K: 8:30 AM Mass Start

🏃‍♀️ Course Description

Best course ever! Starts with a flat side of the lake on an out and back 3/4 mile lake view up Green Valley Lake Rd. with a left on Lakeside Dr. It then gradually ascends up Green Valley Lake Dr to a forest service road with a 400 foot climb to a rewarding overlook and the 5k turn around. The 10k and 1/2 Marathon continue on that beautiful forest service road 2N13 do an out and back along rolling terrain with pine trees and view overlooks. Course support and water stations every 1.5 miles out and back.

🍃 Experience Green Valley Lake

• Location: Green Valley Lake is located off Hwy 18 between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, only 40 minutes drive up the mountain from Redlands.
• Community: Come ENJOY a quaint, pristine mountain community, lake run with forest vista views.
• Elevation: The course takes you around the lake and up a gradual 400-foot elevation gain, climbing to an awesome overlook to make it just enough of a challenge.
• Post-Race: Food available for purchase afterwards. Coffees inside the Black Dog Social.

🎖️ Awards Ceremony

• Ceremony Location: Held at the Community GARDEN on MAIN STREET.
• 5k: 9:15 AM
• 10K: 9:30 AM
• Half Marathon: 9:45 AM overall finish and Age Division pick up begins.

📅 Registration Details

PICK up BIBS & SHIRTS race morning from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Or, Friday afternoon, August 1, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. LOCATION: Black Dog Social Club & Shop.

🎶 Post-Race Festivities

After the race, enjoy live band music, food, and awards at the Community Garden. Expect a good hometown community welcome. Coffee and pastries available at packet pick up and race morning.

🌲 Weekend Experience

❤️ Community Support

Proceeds will benefit The Children’s Forest and the Southern California Mountains Foundation, a non-profit organization located in the San Bernardino National Forest. This spectacular 3,400-acre area of forest is preserved to provide opportunities for youth to take a leadership role in forest management.

💦 Local Support

We also support all the local entities. LIKE the Community Garden, where your awards are handed out. And the Community Museum, that is handing out water at your first and last water station on the course.
