Run for the Gold 5K

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

It's time to Run for the Gold!! Grab your family and friends and go for a 1 Mile/5K run/walk with us Friday, March 7, 2025!

🎉 Last Year's Success

• Event Highlights: Last year’s fun run, 5k, and family fun night was a huge success!
• Community Support: Much of that success came from generous sponsors who contributed to the annual fundraiser.
• Location: The race will be held at Oak Grove Elementary School on Friday, Mar. 7th.
• Start Times: The one-mile fun run will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the 5k at 6:15.

🎶 Night Time Fun

Our new annual night time race and family night includes music, food trucks, and more! The success of this event relies heavily on the support of sponsors in the community and friends of Oak Grove, like you.

• Funding Impact: Funds from last year’s race provided subs for our teachers to participate in professional learning.
• Staff Support: The salaries for our two incredible intervention specialists were funded.
• Learning Opportunities: Leader in Me opportunities for staff and students were funded, along with other initiatives.
• Future Goals: We hope to continue those initiatives this year and provide more resources, programs, equipment, and learning opportunities for teachers and students.

👕 Registration Information

Please register by April 20th to guarantee your shirt.

📅 Schedule of Events on Race Day

• Warm-up: Warm-up starts at 5:45 PM.
• 1 Mile Race: Begins at 6:00 PM.
• 5K Race: Will start at 6:15 PM.
• Packet Pickup: Race numbers and T-shirts for Oak Grove families will be sent home with students the day of the race. All other participants can pick up race packets on race day.

🤝 Support Our Teachers

Your participation in this race will support our teachers and teacher programs. During the registration process, you'll be able to designate the teacher(s) you want to honor. The teachers and staff do so much for us every day! Let’s get out there and run/walk a 5K for them.

💵 Registration Steps

1.) Register and pay $25 to run/walk/crawl the 1 Mile or 5K distance. The live race will occur Friday, Mar. 7, 2025. Registrations made AFTER April 20th will not receive a shirt. They will sell out.

2.) Price Per Person: $25 / Max of $100 per household. Please fill out a paper registration if you have a family larger than 4 people. Click here to download registration form.

We live in a wonderful city. Peachtree City is full of wooded paths, nature preserves, parks, and lakes. Let’s use this as an excuse to go outside and enjoy our community! Register today, and let’s celebrate our school and run/walk together virtually!
