The Race is a road race weekend event that supports black owned businesses, neighborhoods, and charities, committed to delivering a top-notch, world-class race with excellence at every step. The Race weekend features a live expo, half marathon and 5K race, virtual options to participate from your hometown, and Community Impact Service Day. A race for the Culture by the Culture!

• Thursday, October 3rd: Welcome Night Event
• Friday, October 4th: The Race Expo, Packet Pick Up, & Meet & Greet
• Saturday, October 5th: The Race Half Marathon + 5K
• Sunday, October 6th: Community Impact Service Day + The Race 2024 Day Party!

• Welcome Night Event: The Gathering Spot, 384 Northyards Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30313, 6-9pm
• The Race Expo: Impact Event Center, 2323 Sylvan Road, East Point, GA 30344, 11am-7pm
• The Race Half Marathon & 5K: Impact Event Center, 7am-11:00am
• Community Impact Service Day: Various Locations, 8am-11am

In-Person Half Marathon & 5K registration Includes:

• Participant Kit: The Race 2024 participant shirt, medallion, commemorative race bib, & patch
• Access: To The Race 2024 Expo, Social & Speaker Events
• Timing: Chipped timed Half Marathon & 5K road race
• Charitable Contribution: Contribution to The Race 2024 Charitable Impact Fund

Virtual Half Marathon & 5K registration Includes:

• Participant Kit: The Race 2024 participant shirt, medallion, commemorative race bib, & patch
• Packet Shipping: Included
• Results Reporting: Access to virtual results reporting
• Charitable Contribution: Contribution to The Race 2024 Charitable Impact Fund

⏳ Planning and Updates Timeline

• Deferrals: 2024 Deferrals were entered November 24, 2023. They need to visit their RunSignUp account for updates.
• Registration: All registrations are transferable but non-refundable.
• Packet Pickup: All packets must be picked up at The Race 2024 Expo on October 4th.
• Transfer Deadline: Deadline to transfer your race to Virtual is September 30th at midnight.

🌟 About The Race

In November of 2017, The Race presented by The Unity Collective Kickstarter campaign to #BackTheRace was announced. Throughout the 6 week campaign, over 700 runners/walkers/supporters eagerly made history by becoming backers to kickstart the funding and vision of The Race. And...October 11 - 14, 2018 the Unity Collective hosted an inaugural race event like NO other! Participants came from all over to run, support, and give back to black owned businesses, neighborhoods, and charities.

❤️ Charitable Impact

The Race Foundation is the philanthropic arm of The Race. The Race Foundation, through its activities and giving, empower, support, and uplift Charitable Partners and Small Businesses Partners, with an emphasis on partners representing Black people and underserved communities in the realm of health, wellness, and access to health & wellness resources.

• Service Projects: Organized with local charities and organizations
• Expo Features: Small and Black-Owned businesses showcased
• Wrap Up Party: The Race 2024 weekend concludes with a Charitable Impact Service Project and Wrap Up Party on October 6th!
• Contribution: $5 of EVERY race registration fee goes to the Charitable Impact Fund.
