The BEST Phoenixville running event (with the BEST medals) during the BEST local holiday in all of America, is BACK and EVEN MORE BLOBTACULAR THAN EVER!

On Sunday July 13th, Steve McQueen and YOU star in the horror movie of the century! Uh...last century!

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Purpose: Every year, Phoenixville, PA celebrates Blobfest in honor of 1958's The BLOB.
• Running Party: We throw a running party to help celebrate and support the historic Colonial Theatre that stars in the film!
• Race Types: This year, in addition to our 5K, 10K, and kids' fun-run, we will have a half marathon!

🎨 Course Decoration Contest

• Participation: Not a runner? Get a group of friends together.
• Themes: Decorate an area on the 5K course in a Blob (or other monster/alien) theme.
• Rules: Don't obstruct or startle our runners.
• Voting: Runners will vote for the best scenes and winners will receive gift cards!

📍 Location

• Start Area: Under the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville, PA (200 Mill Street).
• Parking: Free off-site parking will be available at Phoenixville High School.
• Shuttle: A free shuttle bus will run from 6:30 am to 11:30 am.

⏰ Starting Times

• Half Marathon: 7 am
• 10K: 8 am
• 5K: 8:05 am
• Kids' Run: 8:10 am

🎽 Bib Pickup

There are 2 options for packet pickup this year:

• SATURDAY 7/12: 11 am to 5 pm at the RUNegades table at the Blobfest Street Fair on Bridge Street in Phoenixville.
• RACE DAY 7/13: Starting at 6 am near the start/finish area under the Gay Street Bridge.

🚰 Water Stops

• Half Marathon: Miles 1.3, 3, 4.3, 6.8, 7.6, 9.3, and 11.7
• 5K: At the top of Cromby Hill (Mile 1.4).
• 10K: Miles 1.4, 2, 4, and 5.
• Course Cut-off: Half marathon cut-off time will be a strict 3:30.

🏆 Awards and Participation

• Kids Fun-Run: All participants receive a finisher's ribbon and prize.
• Awards: Top 3 M/F overall and in each age group will be recognized.
• Special Rewards: Best dressed, best course decorations, and most Blobbiest team!
• Support: A portion of registration fees and 100% of donations go to The Historic Colonial Theatre.
