🏁 Event Overview

The Pleasanton Run for Education presented by Workday is an event designed for the entire community. The 13th Annual event will offers four distances: a 2 Mile, a 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk, 10K (6.2 Mile) Run or Walk, and a Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge (3-10 years). The 2 Mile, 5K and 10K are stroller and walker-friendly events. (Note: 10K entrants have 1 hour 45 minutes to complete the course).

LOCATION - Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA 94566

START TIMES - 10K - 7:50am: 5K/2 Mile - 8:00am: Kids Challenge - 9:15am
Note: Late starts are not permitted as roadways must reopen to traffic promptly. Please arrive at the start/finish area at least one hour early to ensure you do not miss the start. Allow additional time for parking and security entrance.

👕 Entry Includes

• Shirt: Race entry includes a short sleeve performance blend t-shirt (cotton/polyester blend).
• Timing: Race timing (5K/10K), commemorative bib number, eligibility for age group and overall awards (5K/10K).
• Medal: Finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.
• Ages: All ages are welcome to participate: there is no minimum age.

🏫 5K School Division (New for 2025)

New for 2025: In the 5K, we are offering a School Division for current K-12 PUSD students. This division is open to any student currently attending a PUSD school in-person in grades K-12. There is no fee to enter the School Division and you may do so during the registration process by selecting the student's school on the question labeled "Would you like to enter a School Division?".

👶 Kids' Challenge Entry Includes

The Kids' Challenge is a 1/4 mile fun run (no times or places kept) for children ages 3 to 10. Entry includes a short sleeve t-shirt, commemorative bib number, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Start Time: 9:15 am.

👩‍🏫 Pleasanton Unified School District Employees

All staff employed by the PUSD are offered a reduced-rate entry. Those registering with PUSD pricing ("PUSD 5K," "PUSD 10K," or "PUSD 2 Mile" categories) must show their PUSD ID Badge at Packet Pick Up to receive bib and t-shirt. The PUSD Staff discount is available through Thursday, April 24th at 11:59 pm.

📦 Packet Pick Up

Race packet pick up will be held on Saturday, April 26th at Amador Valley High School from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Race day pick up will also be available from 6:30 am onwards, near the finish line at Alameda County Fairgrounds. Plan on arriving at registration 75 minutes early if picking up your bib (or registering) on event day (allow additional time for parking). ID is not required to pick up packets and you may pick up for friends or family. The race packet will include your bib number and t-shirt.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

• Dogs: Are dogs permitted? Dogs are not permitted on the Alameda County Fairgrounds property, with an exception only for service dogs.
• Stroller: Can I push my infant in a stroller in the 5K? Yes.
• Registration: My 9 year old wants to run the 5K. Do I need to register to run alongside them? Yes, all participants on the 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K courses must be officially registered.
• 2 Mile Walking: Can I walk the 2 Mile? Yes, the 2 Mile and 5K are walker-friendly.
