🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Pleasanton Run for Education presented by Workday is an event designed for the entire community. The 13th Annual event will offer four distances:

• 2 Mile: Designed for all, including strollers and walkers.
• 5K (3.1 Mile): A run or walk suitable for everyone.
• 10K (6.2 Mile): Also walker-friendly, with a completion time limit.
• Kids' 1/4 Mile Challenge: For ages 3-10, promoting youth participation.

LOCATION: Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA 94566

START TIMES:

• 10K - 7:50am
• 5K/2 Mile - 8:00am
• Kids Challenge - 9:15am

Note: Late starts are not permitted as roadways must reopen to traffic promptly. Please arrive at the start/finish area at least one hour early to ensure you do not miss the start. Allow additional time for parking and security entrance.

🏅 Entry Inclusions

Race entry includes:

• T-shirt: Short sleeve performance blend t-shirt (cotton/polyester blend).
• Race Timing: For 5K/10K with a commemorative bib number.
• Finisher Medals: Awarded to participants in the 5K and 10K.
• Post-race Refreshments: Enjoy a variety of refreshments after the race.

Additionally, an option to upgrade to a technical race t-shirt (100% polyester) is available for $8.00. One may opt-out of the t-shirt and save $5.00.

🏫 5K School Division (New for 2025)

New for 2025:

• Eligibility: Open to K-12 PUSD students.
• No Entry Fee: Students may register at no cost.
• Results Listing: Students will be tracked in their age group and ranked by gender among peers from their school.
• Prizes: Top students by gender from each school will win prizes.

Registration required before April 26: no retroactive admission.

👶 Kids' Challenge Entry Includes

The Kids' Challenge is a 1/4 mile fun run for children ages 3 to 10. Entry includes:

• T-shirt: Short sleeve t-shirt.
• Commemorative Bib Number: Unique for every child.
• Finisher Medal: Every child receives a medal.
• Post-race Refreshments: Enjoy refreshments after the fun run.

Start Time: 9:15 am.

👩‍🏫 Pleasanton Unified School District Employees

All staff employed by the PUSD are offered a reduced-rate entry. Registration with PUSD pricing must show their PUSD ID Badge at Packet Pick Up to receive bib and t-shirt. The PUSD Staff discount is available through Thursday, April 24th at 11:59 pm.

📦 Packet Pick Up

Race packet pick up will be held on Saturday, April 26th at Amador Valley High School from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Race day pick up will be available from 6:30 am onwards, near the finish line at Alameda County Fairgrounds. Plan on arriving at registration 75 minutes early if picking up your bib on event day. ID is not required, and packets can be picked up for friends or family.

A: Dogs are not permitted on the Alameda County Fairgrounds property, with an exception only for service dogs.

Q: Can I push my infant in a stroller in the 5K?
A: Yes.

A: Yes, all participants must be officially registered.
