- Scenic Views: Mount Diablo provides spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding valleys.
- 4 Mile Course: The 4 mile course is relatively flat and fast within Mitchell Canyon.
- Longer Events: The longer events are mountainous and very scenic.
- Measuring Method: Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.
