Mount Diablo provides spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding valleys.

- Distance: 4 mile course is relatively flat and fast within Mitchell Canyon.
- Elevation: The longer events are mountainous.
- Scenery: Very scenic routes throughout the race.
- Measurement: Distances are accurately measured using a Rolatape® surveyor's measuring wheel.
