• Details: For 2025 the Island running festival is back to a single day of racing with a distance for everyone!
• Health & Wellness Expo: The entire festival will take place at Faction this year with the expo presented by Alameda Health Systems inside the old hanger.

📦 Race Weekend Packet Pick Up

• Thursday and Friday: September 18th and 19th at Lauren's Closet, 1420 Park St, Alameda, Ca. 94501
• Saturday: 12:00pm - 5:00pm at Race Start/Finish Expo 2501 Monarch St, Alameda Point - Faction Brewery
• Sunday: 6:30am - 8am at Race Start/Finish Expo 2501 Monarch St. Alameda Point - Faction Brewery

Sunday

• Half Marathon: 7:30am
• 10K: 8:00am
• 5k Presented by Penumbra: 8:15am

⏱️ Race Timing and Restrictions

The Island Running Festival is a chip-timed event. Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course.

• Strollers: Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack.
• Wheelchair athletes: Permitted but cannot travel faster than the fastest runner due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions.
• Prohibited items: No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on our race courses.
• Reason: We love dogs, but there are those who are not so comfortable around them and there are also dogs that are uncomfortable around hundreds of other people.

🚑 Medical and Water Stops

We will have a dedicated paramedics team on site and available to help assess your race day medical needs and administer acute first aid when necessary. A medical station will be located near the finish line and team members will be roaming the course.

• Half: Mile 3.5 &: 7, Mile 9 &: 10.5
• 10k: Mile 2.5/4.5
• 5k: Mile 2.5
