Plainfield American Legion 5K Charity Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Kids Dash: 50 meter dash for young participants.
• 5K Run: A challenging run for all ages.
• Walk and Ruck: Options available for walkers and ruckers alike.
• Date: April 5, 2025.

📍 Course Details

• Starting Point: The race will start and end at the Plainfield American Legion.
• Out and Back Course: Designed for a scenic run along designated routes.
• Route: Begins on River Rd at the West entrance, continues on W Easy Street, Leawood Dr, Brittany St, Renwick Park Dr, and ends at Fort Beggs Bike Trail.
• Turnaround: Just past W Fraser Rd before heading back to the start/finish.

🎉 After Party Festivities

• Location: After party will be hosted at the Plainfield American Legion.
• Inclusions: Registration includes 2 free draft beers, 1 cocktail, or 2 free fountain drinks.
• Activities: Expect food trucks, 3 bars open, Tug-A-War, Bearcat Pull, a magic show, 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets, live band, and vendors.
• Charity Support: Portions of registrations and raffles will go to our charity partner AllenForce here.

🎽 Race Logistics

• Packet Pick-Up: Will take place at the Plainfield American Legion.
• Timing: Professional chip timing provided by J3 Timing.
• Awards: Recognition pins for overall and age category winners, with finisher medals for the first 200 participants.
• Parking: Carpooling is suggested: parking available at Plainfield Park Districts grounds and a grass lot west of the Legion.
